General Rules
In an official GCA sanctioned flower show, there are major divisions, and then classes within the divisions. Garden club members are invited to submit entries in these different classes to try and win the coveted big blue ribbon "Best in Show" and other notable awards. Each Division and Class has strict rules that must be followed to the letter or the entry will be disqualified.
Florescence has the following Divisions:
Division I — Flower Arrangement (judged division)
Division II & III — Horticulture, and Horticulture Design (judged division)
Division IV — Photography (judged division)
Division V — Botanical Jewelry and Embellishment (judged division)
Division VI — Needle Arts (judged division)
Division VII — Conservation (judged division)
Division VIII — Art by Invitation (non-judged division)
Most Divisions are subdivided by Classes. Class descriptions give extremely specific guidelines for the entrants to follow. The number of entries per class is strictly limited.
