Florescence, jointly produced by the River Oaks Garden Club, The Garden Club of Houston and The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, achieved Major Flower Show status in 1995 and is today one of the largest GCA shows in the country. Every other spring, Garden Club of America members from all over the country have exhibited floral arrangements and horticulture specimens to complement the museum’s art. Proceeds from this event will benefit the museum’s general operating budget as well as the following civic projects:
